radioactive talaga!

being a child of the 90's, i consider the eraserheads to be the epitome of pinoy rock and roll. if i were a 70's kid, then i'd probably contest that and say it's juan dela cruz band. but i'm not. so.

belonging to a generation approaching the 30's, the music of the e-heads is a walk down memory lane to a time of reckless youth living life with wanton abandon and true carpe diem. it was a time of self-discovery. the e-heads was the only appropiate musical score.

and when the band disbanded, i along with their droves of fans, felt the world crumble. who would be singing in the background while i live my life? but like all tragedies, people eventually moved on. but the legacy is there.

and the legend of the eraserheads came alive with the tribute album ultraelectromagneticjam. and it is fun to listen to. a nice take on an old song. and at least it's not nina or mymp digging in the long-forgotten chest of 80's love songs. but it's still not eraserheads.

there were two songs (two that i can remeber right now) which the artists were really able to OWN. spolarium covered by imago and alkohol covered by radioactive sago. alkohol was one of those few songs i had a hard time liking, maybe because i don't drink. hehehe! but hearing the radioactive sago project do their version, i suddenly liked it. ibang klase talaga!

and more so with the video they made for it. a frisbee mate posted the link in the egroups. and it was simply A-MA-ZING. ito ang tunay na astig! have fun watching! iboto sa myx kung pinapalabas na.
