kadayawan 2006 (cast of characters)

i actually wrote a detailed piece in our home computer, tried to post it last saturday but failed. today, i was hoping to try again, but unfortunately, i left my thumb drive at home. so so much for a blow by blow account of the festivities. with photos pa sana. grsh.

so far, ina shared the updharmadown night. but missed out on some of the fun when people started getting really drunk. so will see if i can add to that.

and if a picture paints a thousand words, then shiva has posted a million with the photos on her blog.

jerry has his own quickie version of kadayawan. with some mush, so pardon the squishing of your shoes if you pass by. hehe!

i'll try to do my comprehensive account.

cast of characters (in order of appearance):

guest appearances:
jan. who was there july 30 pa.

the camiña ladies (jan's mom and sister). they arrived wednesday and were going to stay at home. unfortunately, jan's mom had to leave earlier than expected because her brother was rushed to the ICU. his dad didn't even get a chance to take his flight to davao because of this circumstance.

the sumpaico sisters (davao gang's own, ninin, THE lissa sumpaico of marco polo, lissa sumpaico, and THE lissa sumpaico of marco polo, shiva). they arrived late friday evening (930PM) and were supposed to stay at the roadway inn. supposed being the operative word, they ended up staying at marbella mansion because roadway gave their room up at 9PM.

the juans (mike and ina, minus mimi-lia). arrived on saturday morning. breastmilk may not be only good for babies alone. or it could be the main cause of all the kadayawan craziness we experienced.

kriscel. arrived saturday afternoon and was dragged into the barkadayawan (ina's coined term for the group) frenzy that night.

my sister. arrived saturday night in the torrential rain. very happy to have her as i missed her much and could have some sympathy from someone who understands how difficult mom can get.

davao mainstays:
ava. who has been initiated to the group as she now calls jerry, jerry jose. close na talaga kayo.

mr. guerrero. he can only dream to be part of the barkadayawan. but he deserves special mention, as this gook from the primordial soup just added more spice to our already sizzling hot kadayawan.

andy (lao, formerly lim). who chauffered the sumpaicos and made the blue roost interesting. i honestly love your hair, andy (lao).

sherwin. for those the buzz moments. hweheheh.

of course, there were kang, tq, nikki, the volunteers who were with us at one point of the kadayawan.

and some others i may have forgotten.
