in zamboangoa and to bonggao

i'm finally able to go around in zamboanga! around seven years ago, my batch had our midyear here in zambaonga but being the losers from the luzon group, we weren't able to do much touring of the place. the only place we were able to go to outside of our seminar venue was ateneo and chimang's. chimang's was full of great memories of wonderful foods, cameraderie with the zamboanga local community and a second childhood moments at the playground.

the last two times i was here were merely stop over of the boat trip to davao, and often at night.

and finally, i am here. i got to eat at the famous alavar's but unfortunately the famed curacha wasn't in season. dang. omar of batch 22 was a great tour guide, fetching me from the airport and getting me a ticket to bonggao.

bonggao should be exciting but everyone seems to ask me with disbelief as to why i am going there. their nervousness is rubbing off on me. and everyone keeps saying don't go around without any companion. and i've heard of stories that aren't on the radio but personal experiences so it kinda makes me a little paranoid going to jolo by boat alone. fortunately, the nun will meet me there when the boat docks.

sigh.

anyway... just another quickie. it's most likely a week or so before i log in again. and i've noticed i've been in a blogging for blogging purposes only, instead of a genuine interest to tell a story. sad.

pahabol. i missed another araw ng dabaw. darn. never ko pa naabutan ang walang pasok day na iyon. grsh.
