catching the christmas spirit

toni is looking for it. and i hope she finds it soon. it's 22 days to go.

last wednesday, i kaladkaded kaladkarin to aldevinco to buy christmas gifts for my college barkada. she was surprised at how early i was shopping, but i only had a few days before i go to manila. and most of it has been blocked off by work.

it was fun shopping especially after seeing my 13th month already in. meaning i can buy gifts for more people.

thursday, i was popping in and out of SM stores to buy gifts for my officemates becaue we will be having our party on the 6th because i leave the day after.

both nights were spent on wrapping gifts. it was fun, though i couldn't say the spirit is there already. i love giving gifts, and i'm excited giving it out as soon as i can. if other people have low EQ on opening gifts, i have low EQ on giving them away. short of blurting out what it is before they open it.

friday, sonny and i went to pamulaan center in marilog district which is at the very edge of davao city. so far, that even if it is part of the city there isn't any electricity and running water, and one has to walk a certain distance to get there.

it was in pamulaan that i will finally have a chance to do a christmas good deed. i was a little embarassed with the shower of thanks i received from the Lumad kids.

after i recover from this very tiring day, the christmas spirit will start to spread in me. too bad i won't be able to come back for the students' christmas party. nonetheless, i know i made some people happy which in turn makes me happy too. :)
