looking at hs kids and wishing i was one too

just came from a quick trip to the bukid to observe one of our sponsored pre-schools. though i had fun (though i was a zombie the whole morning) watching the kids and devouring rambutan, marang and boiled peanuts the whole morning, i'm not in the mood to tell that story right now.

it's sometime past five in the afternoon and the internet cafe here in NCCC mall is teeming with high school kids playing computer games. i'm jealous. even if i did splurge fifty bucks on timezone playing vampire night, shooting evil creatures of the night (guess what, toni! each game just cause seven pesos VIP price!).

i'm jealous. i miss having a PC at home and spenting hours and hours playing diablo or warcraft, ignoring the outside world. especially warcraft. back in college, i'd challege my then-bf to a game in the nearest network gaming store. i'd beat him though i feel he hardly bothers and just agrees to humor me. but i love warcraft games even if i'm not good at it. and last time i watched d.tour, they featured an RPG version of warcraft which i want to try out myself.

watching these kids play makes it very tempting for me to join in the fray. am sure i'm going to get my 27-year-old travel-worn butt kicked, but it would be great to just build houses and create peons (do you wonder how peons and peasants are made? are there copulating couples in there to produce these poor slaves?) and knights and hack orcs (or humans) depending which side you are on.

but i won't give in. i shouldn't.

but grsh. am getting an itch to blow another fifty bucks on timezone as compensation for my warcraft craving. aaaah. help me resist. aaah... aaah... aaaah... must kill vampires, must save people... aaahh... grsssshhhh. help!
