Wow. I was only a week old and I was already off to my first major adventure. It’s T.Kit that I have to thank because M.Angie (mommy angie) wasn’t sure if she should bring me along her Bukidnon trip. She was afraid that I might get beat up from the three-hour motorcycle ride. But t.kit told her she might regret not bringing me along. He told her to just keep me in a snug and tight in my bag wrapped in Ziploc. M.Angie took T.Kit’s advice and brought me along. Yey! I was so excited for my first trip out of Matina.
And so I went along with m.angie and her officemates. I rode with K.Don during the motorcycle up. Since I was wrapped up nicely, I didn’t feel anything much and actually traveled well. Can’t say the same for m.angie whose shoulders hurt because she had to carry her bag during the two-hour ride.
When we finally arrived at our first stop, I was finally out of the bag and the Ziploc. Ooooh! The fresh air! And the wonderful view! There was green everywhere, lots of trees and grass. And the sky was so blue and the clouds so white. I couldn’t wait to take my shots. Click, click, click I went. But I could sense m.angie wasn’t too happy because the teacher ended her class by eight thirty when it was supposed to end at eleven. Uh-oh.
We had to make our way up the mountain on foot this time. The motorcycle can’t make it through since the road was too rough. Yey! That means I can take more pixies! And it was fun snapping away, especially since it was tabo or what they call market day. Many of the people were gathering at the spillway to sell their wares and buy whatever they need. I took pixies of people on the way to the tabo. They all seemed shy. Maybe because they are not used to have their pixies taken. But they were all so beautiful!
I took pixies of flowers and the people and the children. The children were the best pixies to take. Their chocolatey skins, radiant smiles and vibrant eyes. They were always shy at the start, but eventually they get used to me. When they see me, they start giggling which makes their pixies more beautiful.
I think I made m.angie happy because I took lots and lots of vibrant pixies. She was telling t.jan how happy she was because I took better ones than meechee, the office Canon Powershot A640. ( Sssshhh… meechee might get mad.) There were even some interesting accidental shots here and there. So cool!
Imagine, just two days in Bukidnon and I took 450++ shots! I was that excited. Good thing I have a good memory to take all those in. That many, despite the fact I had to hide in my bag on the way down because it was raining. I was just glad m.angie covered us (meechie and tasha, m.angie’s old Kodak C330) up in her giant silver rain poncho. We were all safe and dry in our bags. Despite that, I had so much fun during my first trip. The pixies are here and here.
