Goodbye, Biyaheng Mindanao. Hello, the cross-eyed bear. Like what is written in the blurb, the cross-eyed bear was the misheard lyrics of Alanis Morisette’s song. (i know that's a sleeping bear, but i think his eyes are crossed when he's awake)
All the while I thought some guy gave the girl a teddy bear with crossed-eyes. Only to discover, once I got hold of a lyric sheet, that it was the cross I bear. Gulp!
But then I liked the mental imagery of a crossed-eyed bear. It looked silly and would make a good conversation piece. And maybe that bear saw two when there is only one. Or maybe he saw the same thing except people thought he saw double. Or maybe he just saw differently.
I don’t know.
Or maybe it IS about the cross I bear.
I don’t know.
Let this blog unfold itself. I think I’m going to end up surprised how it turns out.
